From a Manufacturer and Seller of Canvas Products
In April 1913, the founder Sotaro Ishikawa established "Ishikawa Sotaro Store". He was manufacturing and selling canvas, canvas products and etc.
For its reliable work and quality, the number of clients was increased. His son succeeded the position after the death of the founder. In 1939, the shop became a company.
After the war, as the industry grow, a new factory was built, and in 1952, Ishikawa was assigned as official sewing factory of the Dept of National Defense.
In 1982, the company is certified as official escape chute manufacturer of Fire Protection Equipment and Safety Center of Japan.

From Canvas Sewing to Escape Chute Installation
Ishikawa has been manufacturing so many, various kinds of products since its foundation. The original escape chute was invented at the early stage of the company. At that time the chute was made of hemp. In 1932, Because the tragedy of the big fire of a department store in Tokyo, the idea of escape tool is widely realized by the people.
The company has been growing while adapting to the trend of the world. In 1982, the company is certified as official escape chute manufacturer of Fire Protection Equipment and Safety Center of Japan.
